Day 312 – November 8, 2021
Scriptures: Ezekiel 29-31, 1 Timothy 5 1 Timothy 5:24–25 (ESV) 24 The sins of some people are conspicuous, going before them to judgment, but the sins of others appear later. 25 So also good works are conspicuous, and even those that are not cannot remain hidden. Ezekiel, as a mouthpiece for God, speaks against the sinful nations. A judgment is coming for those who do evil. Paul warns that the sins of some are conspicuous, that a judgment is coming. It all serves as a warning for us to follow Christ and to walk with him. Turn to Christ! Jordan

Day 310-311 – November 6-7, 2021
Scriptures: Ezekiel 25-28, 1 Timothy 3-4 Paul’s encouragement to Timothy is to seek a godly life. The rulers of Tyre and Sidon are juxtaposed nicely between the kingdom leadership of Timothy and the worldly leadership of these rulers. The rulers of Tyre and Sidon are godless and evil, where Timothy seeks a holy and godly life. The rulers are prideful, and deal shrewdly with human life. Where Timothy gives great regard for everyone. The Son of man condemns this worldly leadership and blesses the leadership of Timothy. One of these kingdoms will come to a crashing end, and the other – has no end at all. We of course know that the kingdom of life is found in Jesus Christ. Let us seek to live a godly life, honoring Christ and caring for the church family. God bless your day! Jordan Day 309 – November 5, 2021
Scriptures: Ezekiel 23-24, 1 Timothy 2 The aim is to live a peaceful and quite life, in holiness. As we walk through the book of Ezekiel, it is quite apparent that there was a wholehearted rejection of the way of God. They have turned their hearts far from him and there is no sign of holiness whatsoever. The powerful message of Paul is that we now have a peaceful, holy life made possible through Christ. We have two paths. The way of Christ and holiness, or the way of evil and death. Let’s live a peaceful and quiet life in Christ. Day 308 – November 4, 2021
Scriptures: Ezekiel 21-22, Psalms 5, 1 Timothy 1 15 The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. 16 But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. 17 To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. 1 Timothy 1:15–17 The good news of 1 Timothy gives us incredible hope. There is forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ. Day 307 - November 3, 2021
Scriptures: Psalms 80, Ezekiel 19-20 Psalm 80:19 (ESV) 19 Restore us, O Lord God of hosts! Let your face shine, that we may be saved! Ezekiel 20:42 (ESV) 42 And you shall know that I am the Lord, when I bring you into the land of Israel, the country that I swore to give to your fathers. God’s work with Israel is a patient one. He works with a people who are stubborn and frequently turn from Him and His ways. Despite God’s patience, faithfulness and mercy, the Israelites continually turn from God and His ways. But God remains faithful, merciful and patient. It just keep happening. This is good news, as we face so many trials and temptations of our own. Some of which, we fail to live according to his ways and purposes. But we repent, and we ask God to turn his face towards us. We ask of God, “Let your face shine, that we might be saved!” “Let your face shine, that we may find our way back to you and live according to your blessings and ways.” Lord, turn your face upon us and give us your rest! Jordan Day 306 – November 2, 2021
Scriptures: Ezekiel 17-18, Psalm 24 Ezekiel 18:21–23 (ESV) 21 “But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 22 None of the transgressions that he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness that he has done he shall live. 23 Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live? Ezekiel 18:32 (ESV) 32 For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live.” Psalm 24:3–4 (ESV) 3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. The Lord is righteous and good. He deals with us with mercy and grace. Ezekiel 18 is a reminder of God’s love and forgiveness. God does not desire that anyone should perish. God desires that we would all turn to him and live. There are so many false narratives about God that would lead us to think that God is a malevolent God, who cares little for us, and has no desire to save. But the true narrative within scripture is just the opposite. It tells us of a benevolent God, who gives us new life, and forgives us our sins. Turn to him and live! Jordan |
