Day 307 - November 3, 2021
Scriptures: Psalms 80, Ezekiel 19-20 Psalm 80:19 (ESV) 19 Restore us, O Lord God of hosts! Let your face shine, that we may be saved! Ezekiel 20:42 (ESV) 42 And you shall know that I am the Lord, when I bring you into the land of Israel, the country that I swore to give to your fathers. God’s work with Israel is a patient one. He works with a people who are stubborn and frequently turn from Him and His ways. Despite God’s patience, faithfulness and mercy, the Israelites continually turn from God and His ways. But God remains faithful, merciful and patient. It just keep happening. This is good news, as we face so many trials and temptations of our own. Some of which, we fail to live according to his ways and purposes. But we repent, and we ask God to turn his face towards us. We ask of God, “Let your face shine, that we might be saved!” “Let your face shine, that we may find our way back to you and live according to your blessings and ways.” Lord, turn your face upon us and give us your rest!
