Day 306 – November 2, 2021
Scriptures: Ezekiel 17-18, Psalm 24 Ezekiel 18:21–23 (ESV) 21 “But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 22 None of the transgressions that he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness that he has done he shall live. 23 Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live? Ezekiel 18:32 (ESV) 32 For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live.” Psalm 24:3–4 (ESV) 3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. The Lord is righteous and good. He deals with us with mercy and grace. Ezekiel 18 is a reminder of God’s love and forgiveness. God does not desire that anyone should perish. God desires that we would all turn to him and live. There are so many false narratives about God that would lead us to think that God is a malevolent God, who cares little for us, and has no desire to save. But the true narrative within scripture is just the opposite. It tells us of a benevolent God, who gives us new life, and forgives us our sins. Turn to him and live! Jordan
