Week 51, Day 3
December 21, 2022 Scripture: Revelation 15 “They held harps given them by God and sang the song of God’s servant Moses and of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the nations. Who will not fear you, Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”” (Revelation 15:3–4) I once heard of a preacher who memorized the book of Revelation. Of all the books to memorize, why Revelation? “Well,” he said, “When I get to heaven, I don’t want to be staring at the sheet music.” His point, a good one, that the book of Revelation is filled with worship. When the wrath of God is complete, when all the wrongs are made right, when God restore peace and his righteousness pours out to us all, there will be worship. Those who have been victorious over the beast and its image will worship God. We can be assured, that at the result of God’s wrath, there will be celebration of God’s goodness and right judgment. “Just and true are your ways.” “Great and Marvelous are your deeds!” We can trust in God’s judgment. God is just, marvelous and worthy of all praise.
